They seem to be basically interchangeable. I don't know if one
is "better" than the other. I wouldn't connect with any credit card that charges an "annual fee"...why pay extra to use the card?
The advantages they list never seem to be worth it to me. Just
keep the balances low and ALWAYS pay more than the minimum, otherwise you're "spinning your wheels".
Hope this helps.

Visa. Accepted worldwide.

Visa and Mastercard are actually owned by the same company. That's why Mastercard is always accepted wherever Visa is accepted and vice versa. American Express has a great rewards program, but there's an annual fee. Discover also has a great rewards program - minus the fee.

in my opinion both visa and master card are great and both cards are accepted most places if i were you and i qualified for both i would get both the key is who has the lowest APR.

I have one of each. I like them both.

I have both and I honestly can't see a difference between them. Almost everywhere I've been to accepts both, and the APRs and benefits depend more on the company that provides the card than the actual visa/mastercard. Be careful and shop around to find the right card, and don't be misled by all the gimmicks and promotions. You want one with a low APR if you plan on racking up debt, but if you plan on paying it off every month and using it more for convenience, go for a card with a nice reward program.

There both the same, long time ago it use to matter, because most places only accept one of them, now all stores accept all of them.
Visa does have better incentives. Some of the credit card representatives are so nasty and hostile over the phone. And outsourcing this to India or wherever isn't helping matters.
