Dont close it if there are no fees. To have an available line of credit but, not use is looks great on your credit. |

Even though you don't like the company I would still keep it open for debt purposes. If you are going to by a house, car, boat, RV something that is an installment type of loan it looks great to have credit cards open with 0 balance. It shows you have a good record with paying your bills on time and still have credit available. Especially when any finance company is analyzing your credit for loan approvals this is the first thing they look at, your debt relative to income.
Key: Keep it open, just don't use it. |

I only keep one credit card. The one with the highest credit limit. If you don't like the company, then pick one of the other ones. I always get into trouble if I keep more than one. |

Never close them, just don't use them. Keeping it open with a zero balance will boost your credit score. |

i think if it were me i would only have 1 major credit card and that would be for emergencies only. |

Use 1 and 1 only for emergencies. I have seen too many people get over extended and get into trouble. |

keep all three. pay one bill with the other and let them rotate, but be carefull. when you fine one that has a low apr put all of your payments in that one. so you kind of cheating the credit cards, if you do it right. you credit will sky rocket |

Three is better than two but you can always keep the 4k open and just cut the card. It is rather high though so you may want to get
another card and then close that one or vice versa.
A retail card or two helps a lot too. Paying the balance each month isn't actually the best thing credit wise. They want to see that you can carry a balance as well. So paying it off every two to three months is good. |

If you have self control, there are no fees and you need your credit to look good don't close it. Your credit looks better if you for instance owe 500 bucks but have available credit left of 6,200 rather than if you owe 500 with available left of 2,200. |

Do NOT close any of those accounts or you WILL damage your scores.
The $4000 account is the most valuable one you have. Also valuable to credit scores is the oldest account.
To improve credit:
1. Get your credit limits raised as often as possible. Ask at least every six months.
2. Charge something on each card every five months.
3. Keep balances below 48% of the limit (or if Cap One or Providian, 48% of the "high credit used")
4. Not only pay on time, pay the day the bill comes in.
5. Pay over the minimum amount each time (or pay off monthly.)
6. Run LOTS of dollars through the cards, but never go over limit. |

keep them open just dont keep a balance. The extra credit, and history of good payments will help your credit score. CLosing the card will actually lower your score. |

Keep all three cards. Place other in storage because you may need it. |

Get rid of it. You dont need to have more than one credit card with a decent balance on it. The more you get the more you want the more you buy the more debt you get yourself into. Take my advice pay cash and if you cant then think about whether you really need it or not. It feels good to have the credit but feels real bad when you over spend it. |

Well close it then.If you don't like them.that is a good enough reason. |

When it comes to credit scores it's based on time held and utilization. Keep credit cards utlitized under 15% of available credit line. Also for some reason, credit reporting agencies give you better credit score if you have a card with over $2000 credit limit. So in my advice keep the $4000, pay it off, rarely use it if you don't like the company. |

from my experiences if you can really do without them i would say none but if you have one that you have to pay the balance in full by the due date keep that one. that way you will not over spend like just about every other american - like me. i had (which) is not bad in my case over $12,000 in credit card debt 5 years ago i borrowed the money to consolidate and pay them off and will be finish in 2 months but in the mean time i also racked up another $5000. so i will start paying that one off. |
