i have a AOL visa through chase. it has been a good one for me. it has low monthly payments and a high limit. just becarefull some card will make you pay back what ever you spend in one lump sum with no monthly terms. be aware of late fee. over the limit fees. and find one with a low APR and interest rate. stay away from capital one. they have charge me late fee when i had receipts to prove it wasn't late. If you have bad credit and just want a starter card tribute is a good little card. not a high limit. but monthly payment are only 30 dollars and its builds you credit and after time you make a on time payment they increase you limit |

I would spend some time thinking about what is important to you in a credit card and how you will use your credit card.
1. How much money will you spend monthly?
2. Will you pay off your balance monthly?
3. Do you want cash back, free gas, miles, college savings? There are credit cards that do all of that.
