Bonuslink or RealRewards card... cos' I get to exchange them for gifts at the end and I don't pay banks for the things I buy :-)

5milesMissy
I don't use both. I use cash.

Credit cards are more widely used worldwide (has more machines), retail and food. but debit cards won't leave you in debt, if you're out of money then you're out. if you are just using the debit card in the city you live in then it's fine. If you are going on vacation a credit is the best. just make sure you have at least a credit card with you at all times and a debit card if you can afford it.

Credit card. Buy now...pay later.

I think debit is a bit more risky as it is not watched as closely and they can pretty much drain your account if you are not careful. Credit card has hideous interest rates. I usually do debit with companies I trust and credit with those that I don't .

Credit Cards. Especially when the bank's closed.

Debit card...because you are only limited to the money you have in your checking account.. Credit cards are nice but you can run them up faster than you realize.

As compared to a Debit card, credit card is simpler. And more easily acceptable. If you are using it on the internet, the chances of a debit card being acceptable are slim whereas that of a credit card are high. But with a credit card, it is a deferred payment, so one has to be careful not to get stuck in a loop. Debit card is instantaneous. With a credit card, you get some more time to gather the money or alternatively, spend more money. I prefer my credit card for booking tickets etc but for smaller purchases I use a debit card!

Debit. So long as you don't have or use your overdraft, you are only using the money in your account. No writing checks to pay bills, etc. It's purchases made straight from your checking account.
