I wrote to BT regarding the mess they made of my account. I wrote to their head office, the customer services director. It got things moving and they compensated me.
I know they are very poor at the moment but they will put things right if you persist.
I complain and complain again until they get it right and then I ask them for compensation for my time. They pay up. |

The above is the email address of the Chief Executive of BT. I got his address from the forums at www.moneysavingexpert.com when I was having problems with BT myself. Thankfully my issues were resolved before I got to the stage of having to contact him but I have read posts from others who have emailed Mr Verwaayen and have had their complaint forwarded to the high level complaints team and the issue has been sorted. Hope this helps! |

If you want to pay without delay then try registering on line and paying on line should not then be a problem. See link below. If you then still want to complain, and I think you should, then click on the support tab and follow the links for making a complaint. However, bear in mind that the security questions, annoying as they may seem are actually for your benefit and many companies follow this procedure to make sure you are who you say you are and not somebody trying to gain information they could use for identity theft purposes. Limit your complaint to poor service and lack of efficiency. Others have suggested you complain to Of-tel but I think you will find you have to complain directly to BT First and reach a deadlock status but if you look on Oftel's website you may find more information. |

Good God its like im reading myown problems with BT.
I sent 2 E-Mails via BT.com complaints department due to VERY similar problem it was only after i threatened them with OFTEL that they replied. but i also spent 1 & half hours on the phone to try & pay them because they hdnt sent me the bill or any other paperwork ie contract, direct debit forms,
Then eventually i got through only to be transfered again & put on hold for another hour.
OFTEL is the main governing body for UK Communications so go their. i have |

Try BT.com to see if they can help. I know the phone calls to bt are apain but bt.com is easy. and you have to remember even if you switch providers bt still own the line. and I would suggest keeping your cool when dealing with them as strange and unusual problems may occure when you lose it. As in any business if you rant and rave they make you wait. |
