I had them before when I was with them they were a great company and provided great customer service. There interest rates were alot lower than other places I went to. |

OK.. credit card companies are great in general, as long you follow these rules:
NEVER be late, keep your balances low and do not have to much debt.
ON the other hand , do any of these and there goes your rates and fees.
so it ends up being a matter of preference.
CO is one of the worst service providers.. IMO |

I have three credit cards with them, one I have not used in 6 years, and 2 others I use all the time. Never had a problem, they increase my limit every year and their web site is easy to control all three accounts. |

I am going to be the spoiler, I had a capital one credit card with a $300 dollar balance. I sent them a check to pay off my card and then I was shocked to get a notice saying that I was late with my payment and owed them money immediately. I contacted customer service and was told that I was a delinquent account. Turns out that my $300 was credited to another account and not mine. It was all their fault! It took multiple phone calls to get the situation figured out and after that more calls to get them to remove it from my credit report. I cant imagine the letter to the person who had a $300 credit who didn't actually have it. NOT MY BEST COMPANY! |

I thought it was great!!! Great rates and easy online account access. Then I maxed it out...my bad!! I closed it and got a loan to pay it off. But I'm thinking about getting another one for emergencies. |

I don't have a Capitol One account and probably won't unless they buy up my current credit card accounts.
I've heard lots of problems and really bad customer service. They are often referred to as "Crap One". |
