Which other countries would you be speaking of?
I have dual citizenship, UK and Canada. I am pretty sure neither of those countries are 'jealous' of the US. |

I don't think it's jealousy as much as it is, what Americans think .. Don't get me wrong, this is a fabulous country, but there are is a lot of **** going on. What people need to realize is that, America is overweight, drug-ridden and well, many people are still living under the poverty line... Yah, that's something to be jealous of. |

First of all I don’t know where you get off by asking such a dumb question!
People cannot be jealous of a place they are jealous of other people and their possessions!
Now agreed you have a lot of freedom in your country but if you want to get down to details you will see that you have poverty, crime, racial discrimination and blah blah blah like the rest of the world. Get off your high horse as you should at least do a bit of research on who the 'Real Americans' are.
You Americans are so full of yourselves that you actually think the world revolves around you and all you know is squat. Granted you are a superpower but there are others and hey American was not number one forever many other nations have ruled and then pushed to second or third place in time.
It is immature comments like this that stir up other people from other nations and causes anger and hate (I know strong words but to the fanatic not so) towards you Americans. Think before you say anything and make sure you put it in the right section - Business and Finance!
I have so much more to say but your question and some comments that follow sadden me. And don’t worry your not alone as there are many people in other parts of the world who think that America is Jealous of them! So keep spreading the joy like you are and there will be world peace one day!

There jealous cause we treat are people with respect and unlike other countries , were easy going cause we believe in second chances and freedom of speech and maybe cause are people enjoy life and there people hate their life. Maybe it cause there countries lied to them about US and there goverment controls there people. And for are US we make are own choices not some dictator . Maybe cause were stealing there oil from Iraq and they want that oil. Actually correction are country isn't stealling the oil, the big companies like ford ,gm and the president of United States or President Bush Own the oil in Iraq and the other countries want the slice of pie in the oil . Everytime bush and Ford and Gm and the big gas companies take oil from Iraq , other countries dont get that extra billions that they could be making on raising gas prices.To bad for them . I love my country and I could careless if are president is a lair , if I was rich republican like him , I would do the same . God Bless The USA |

i don't think they're jealous of the US-- i think they're just pissed off at us because we feel we have to police the whole world and we do things without thinking about the other cultures and the consequences.
if you feel they're jealous of us though, then my guess would be because we have so much money and we don't know what to do with it. |

other countries are jealous of america because we are the greatest country on earth. period. the whole world hangs onto the value of our dollar and if you go to amazon uk or any other country for that matter, its NOTHING but american movies and american entertainment. also, who did it take to stop hitler?
