My wife used to work at a bank doing loans and she used to say that 80-85% of black males couldnt get a loan due to bad credit. About 30% of white males couldnt get a loan. So there is some truth to this. |

Geez, what a generalization!
Black men, white men, black women and white women get bad credit by having debts and not paying them. Each of those groups has people with bad credit, people with average credit, and people with excellent credit.
Since black men statistically have higher unemployment rates, it's not unlikely that they would have lower credit scores on average. |

same reason men OR women of any race have bad credit. Sometimes a run of bad luck or money mismanagement, don't pay bills, don't pay on time, illness, ERRORS on their credit reportsm etc. Over 70 percent of credit reports contain errors which was reported in a study a couple years ago - that translates into MILLIONS of files. |
