i am a christian and i whole heartily agree! it is sad and a bad testimony but truth for sure. i think it is bc we(christians) as a whole have a false concept of what is "spiritual' and what is not, when in actuality ALL is spiritual! god has much to say about money in the bible and how to use it wisely and rightly. being in debt is neither right nor wise. i hope our short comings do not continue to "trip" others up and make them stumble. on belhalf of christians, i apologize |

I would like to know where you get your information. As in all surveys, the outcome is dependant upon who is asking the information, who is being asked, and what outcome the asker is seeking. Also, it seems that you are just asking the question to cause an argument. Why else would this question be asked in such a way? |

I don't think poor credit is limited to Christians. Americans of all faiths (or lack there of) have an outstanding rate of bad credit.
I think it's because credit card companies have been giving cards out too easily and people's lack of self control. I know that's my problem. |

Darlin, I can't speak for any other Christians except myself. This past Friday (22nd), I signed the papers on a new home. The lender told me that he had NEVER had anyone sit across from his desk with a credit score as high as mine! There are four things that I can definitely lay claim to:
a good name
good credit
a troubled mind and
a weary body (ha ha)
This is something that my Mother instilled in me years ago when I first began working and paying my way. "If you can't afford it--don't buy it unless it's an absolute emergency."
In addition, none of my Christian friends have the kind of credit you spoke of. It just sounds like you've come into contact with folks that are not the norm. Being a good steward with the assets that God gives us is honoring our Lord. |

Where did you get your statistics? what are you basing this on? I've never filled out a credit application that asked what religion I was. |
