Im sure people don't choose to have debts but sometimes their income just doesn't cover necessities, and instant money,at the time is needed. |

I dont think anyone choses to have debts , circumstances dictate that they have debt. |

People are being sold a lifestyle. Banks don't sell "debt" to people, they sell cars, holidays, a new TV etc. |

It is to do with them not having enough money to get what they want/need, and not having enough money to pay the debts back either through poor money management, or poor finances. |

People dont choose to have debt but sometimes it is unavoidable.
I take it you dont have a mortagage??? Mortgage is a debt and the biggest one most people will have in thier lifetime. I would say 98% of the country is in debt one way or another, debt does not have to be related to only credit cards and cheap loans! |

I think because they want something so bad and think about the consequences of paying for it later... and then realise it's not that easy to pay it off/ other things need paying for etc etc!! |

Many people are just careless and clueless when handling their own money. Many people are financially illiterate. |

Who wants to have debts? Nobody! This is the credit card trick. Buy now, pay later. |

because it's sometimes the only way to be able to afford certain things as you can buy what you need now and pay it back in installments.
I dont advocate not paying it back though |

I don´t think they chose it.
They probably have a lack of financial skills and are not very good at maths. |

how do people really get in debt with credit cards?
im seeing this all over the internet and on tv and lots on yahoo answers. i mean i have some cards but dont overuse at all..and i have evrythign trasfered on one card so i can have one payment a month and also pay more than minimum payment. is it because decide to spend thier money on stuff they dont need? dont people have enough money to pay the minimum balance on time? it sounds ridicoulous to me. i totally agree on people spending more than they can afford and living paycheck to paycheck......also people claiming cc are evil...i dont liek to use them..but they are usefull and are helping me out for 2 months..and planning to pay more than minimum payment every month |

Your question is all over the shop: no-one 'chooses' to have bad debts!
The only exceptions are those few people who deliberately take out credit which they have no intention of repaying: which to my mind is a form of theft. |

Because they are greedy. They want what everone else has got and the only way to pay for those things is to get a credit card or take out a loan and get into debt! |
