Some people who answer questions on here give the WORST advice. Seriously, you'd think they were just making it up on the spot.
ESPECIALLY when it comes to answering credit questions.
The ones answering the "Help I'm in debt" questions are probably the ones drowning in debt themselves.

We actually have some excellent posters here. People like Echo, Studly, Slimick, Bryan, Sgt Big Red, Spifiman, BDancer (when she's not thinking like a collection agent), Celeste, Dave, Lisa S...all these people come here and give great answers to help people out.
We also have quite a few "up and comers" who really are putting forth an effort to learn about credit law and give good answers.
But on a whole I agree with your take. God knows I spend enough time here correcting people who give incorrect information. |

And a lot of the responses provide good information. Unfortunately, it ain't what the person asking the question wants to hear, especially people who have dug themselves into debt.
But the ones that really irritate me are the folks who claim to be professionals in the field and give out really bad info. |

Well, look at who the people are that are answering these questions. People from all walks of life, all ages, all everything....
Really, do you want advice from strangers?????????
Most questions on "Answers" could be answered easily if the people use Google and not Answers....If they called the Company they are having trouble with, if they did their own personal "homework"...

Some of the best on the net. People with tons of experience, some professional business people are giving good, educated advice.
Yes, good advice can be found on the net.
Yanswers however, is just a mix of people, some who have experience, others who just have opinions!
I have seen someone desperate for help, only to have an idiot answer them in a very ugly way. That's what the little thumbs down button is for.
I still find some really great answers here. Just have to weed through the trash. |

yes i notice this...but most people need to realize that the people who are always on the answers dont have lives....
these are people who think that they know something, but really have no idea...
i mean there are the few who come on every once in a while, and know something, but there are still the people who dont have lives who think that by answering questions that they can fulfill an empty area within themselfs.
people need to look at the history of the people who give advice to really understand what the person answering knows |
