Why do these annoying people take 2 mins to take money off your debit card and 30 days to put it back?
it is so out of order. i paid a £20 deposit for top up tv anytime and they took it from my card. the next day i cancelled it and went to sky. they told me it takes 30 days to put it back on my card. i played bingo at gala online and it takes 2 mins to add money to play, i won a small amount and they take 7 to 10 days to give it to you. loads of companies take ages to give it to you back. initialy it only takes 3 days to go through the bank system. it is so annoying when these companies do this. also i will not be using these companies no more as they are taking the piss. 2 minutes to take from you and 2 bloody months to give it back, grrrr!!!

.
so they can keep your cash in their account and reap the interest , i bet you are not the only one this has happened to so imagine the amount of money involved

Well done Phoenix, spot on, play banks at their own game, wait till the last minute to pay anything, and play your credit cards against each other, no interest or insurance charges to pay. x

Suggest you take a leaf out of our book. we are good. x

cause they can. It is so annoying especially when your need is greater than theirs

damienabes
the reason for this is due to the accounting process on the companies end. but i agree this does suck

Interest money and monthly fees...they can still charge this to you and there's no outlet for you to argue...you must pay it or your credit score goes down

You are wrong guys, mostly that is not company's fault. Often company will refund your money immediately, but the payment system is holding the money. Banking system need to be changed to correct this :)

alatoruk
how else do you think they make more money - same sa banks - sit on it and earn interest

Because they make money off of every day they can hold on to that money. In the simplest form, they can put it in the bank and make interest. That's why you pay your bills as late as possible and underpay your taxes throughout the year - the longer you can hold on to that money, the more money you earn off of it.

It's called deferring payments.

yea its pathetic..

I agree but as they can get away with it they do. We all need to complain and then take our business to somewhere that doesn't act in this unfair manner.

They are after all stealing the interest on your money from you, so you could argue it is criminal behaviour - especially the 30 days!!
