Why is it so hard to achieve credit?
Being young, and without credit, really hinders any financial siduation.

no, it doesn't hinder your financial situation. It means you have no money to buy things "on credit". If you have money, you have to prove it, or if you will pay your bills on time, you have to start small.
Assuming you have a bank account, start there. Most banks issue credit cards, and a bank is happy to let you apply.
credit cards are only a convenience so you don't have to bring cash. it's not free money. pay off your balance in 30 days or you will be in debt forever.

Other people had problems with trust. Now today it is difficult with credit, and will only get more difficult.

It not that hard to "achieve credit" if you know what you are doing!

It sounds like you need some expert credit advice. If you are serious about acheiving credit, read this entire website:

http://www.expert-credit-advice.com

Here is a page specifically for you: http://www.expert-credit-advice.com/building_credit.htm

This is the best credit related content based website I have ever seen.

Dont give up, you will need your credit, and with some solid effort you will have a excellent score.

If you dont put the effort into learning and educating yourself about this ever so important thing called "credit", you will never reach your goals.

What are you waiting for?

When you're first starting out, lenders view you as a financial risk. It is your job to show them that you are creditworthy. The 2 easiest ways to get your foot in the door creditwise is to either get a student credit card (if you're a student) or to get a secured credit card. You can find info on building credit from scratch here: http://creditwisdom.blogspot.com/2006/09/building-credit-from-scratch.html

Just think.....this is your chance to learn how not to abuse credit and how to be more responsible.

You should start by applying for a department store credit card. Sears is usually very easy to get. But try Kohl's or JC Penney also. (Only get one!). They have lots of stuff you'd need and you can only use the card at their store. (Sears is now a Master Card, but don't be tempted to use it anywhere else).

Don't get a MC or VISA right away. Because you can use them everywhere you'll be tempted to get gas, groceries, coffees everywhere and the next thing you know you've run in over your head with little things.

Use the department store card on small things at first.....stuff you can easily pay off at the end of the month. Do this for several months.....then maybe buy one thing and try splitting the payment in 2 or 3 parts.

If you've done this for a year or so....you'll already show that you are responsible with credit....you'll have a decent credit score and you'll be on your way to earning more credit.

Remember to take it easy. 65% of your credit score is determined by the amount of outstanding credit you have and the timeliness of your payments.

If you get several cards, max them out and then start missing payments, you will have really screwed yourself financially.

Wrong end of the telescope, it stops you ruining your life and learning how to: delay gratification, save, budget, live w/in your means, and appreciate what you can really afford. The mass over extension of credit is a con and illusion that the western world has been hooked on for almost a generation now w/out consequence, yet. The economy moves in cycles, we are headed for 16% interest rates and history's biggest pay back cycle ever, so be glad if no one will let you set yourself up for the fall of a lifetime, if you have real money saved when all else are down and out you can buy everything up on the cheap.
