DON'T DO IT.
Do not go to Vanquis, they charge 49.9%. An application pack landed on my doorstep a month after my IVA was agreed. They clearly target those in debt.
Follow you debt management plan, it will train you to live without credit cards and be more deciplined. Trust me, i know how easy it is to fall into debt. I am seeing my debt plan (IVA) as a re-awakkening. Credit is the last thing you want, if you accept any, whether the interest is high or low and are still on your debt plan, you will face bankruptcy. Have you considered an IVA??? I looked into a debt plan and I was told that it would take me something like 40 years to clear my debts and my creditors could still take me to court. My IVA has been my lifesaver and you can keep your house, car, basically everything!!! I know it is hard to wean yourself from credit cards, as a shoe (and store card) fanatic, i have to remind myself to keep walking when i see a store. I now budget for everything and try to shave some £ from my agreed IVA for luxeries. I reiterate, KEEP CLEAR OF CREDIT CARDS. As long as you and your family can eat and are clothed, leave everything else to God. Xmas is round the corner and high interest cards will be everywhere, remember, you will have to pay them off and your xmas Gas/Electricity bill to boot. It simply isn't worth the stress! |
