I just recently received a new credit card adding to my 3 cards that I already have. I was trying to transfer a balance from one card to the new one but since I wasn't given the credit limit amount that i need to transfer the whole balance over, I'm looking into opening 3 more credit cards. 1 of them, for the other half of the balance transfer that I need and the other 2 is for the benefits on the card. Can anyone help me out?

i also forgot to add that the credit card that i am trying to transfer the balance out of has a very high interest rate. |

Yes, if you can even get away with it. I know most are checking your credit history before approval so you don't swindle a bunch of credit all at once and bury yourself.
Have you considered a loan? They have set payoff dates, credit cards do not. |

Yes it will. Anytime an inquiry is made against your credit it will hurt it. Stability is what people need to see. Never pay your balance off at the end of each month, if you need to build credit. Creditors want to see you carry a balance. If you don't carry a balance they don't want to do business with you or reward you for your business. You need to pay interest and finance charges to prove your worthiness. If you open three accounts at once you appear to everyone as impulsive and unstable. |

I would have as few credit card accounts as possible. Go get a bank loan....lower interest and it will help not hurt your credit. |

It is not about how many cards you got, it's about how many open balances you have and how high those balances are. NO, it wont hurt your credit score unless you are trying to purchase a car or house. Also, make it a habit to pay off your credit charges within one billing period. This will increase your credit score. Good Luck. |

it wont hurt you actually. it is if you do not pay. now if you decide to open more than a credit card and possibly a store card as well. you are going to go into overkill. |
