My credit is Poor and I am going to payoff my car loan 2 years early will this finally help me with my credit issues? how much will this affect my credit score?

Although it will only affect your credit score marginally, paying your car loan off 2 years early will save you A LOT in interest.

not much. making payments on time is what they look for.

Mr.B
To develop proper credit you should pay on your loan for at least 6 months. After that you can pay it off and not only will the loan company love you, but you can be sure they'll give you a loan the next time you need it!

It will look good to other potential lenders. After about 6 months after its paid off you will see it increase by a couple of points.

it willl help it alittle but it wont change it a hole lot

Jarod
Agreed, but a early payment does get noted and it shows to potential credit lendors in the future that you are to be trusted and are eligible for larger sums of money to borrow. It also helps with buying a house or car etc because you've been good with your money.

It will bring it up a bit, it will show as a positive because you no longer have that debt against you and if it is paid and never been reported on your file as late then that is great too. It may only bring your score up a few points, not too sure on that part but I know the number value does take a long time to gradually build up.

Paying it off early will only save you some money in interest. A longer pay history is better in the long run to build credit. A 3 to 4 year pay history is better than 6 months pay history especially if you have limited credit experience.
