Would I be able to get a $ 10,000 loan using a credit card?
The amount would be to purchase a small home that needs some repairs. This is included in the amount that I would borrow. How much time would I have to repay this $10,000 loan off of a credit card? How much would I expect to pay monthly on a credit card loan?

I don't really understand what you are trying to ask, so I will answer what I do know.
Most credit card companies charge 3-5% of the total amount borrowed as your monthly payment. For instance, if you had a balance of 5,000 on your card, 3% is 150.00 so your monthly payment would be 150.00. On a 10,000 credit card balance you could expect to pay somewhere around 300.00 a month or more depending on what the interest rate is. The term would probably be between 10 - 15 yrs and that is only if you made the minimum payment and did not make any more charges. For this reason, it is not a good idea to finance anything long term on a credit card. Obviously, if it is your only option then there is nothing else you can do. I would call your credit card company and find out what your interest rate is and what percentage they use to calculate your monthly payment. This will at least give you some information to start with.
Good Luck!

This is NOT a good idea at all. Why can't you qualify for the home-loan needed to purchase the property? That's going to save you untolled thousands of dollars vs. a credt card.

Expect $200 + per month . Probably more with higher interest rate. Every 10k loan you pay $200 more or less.

Hi there,

That would most likely depend on your current yearly earnings and your credit rating / assets and liabilities.

Most banks will primarily take the above into consideration with a Credit Card application.

As for payments per month most banks make you pay 5% of the total amount owing monthly (however i am aware maybe Westpac offers a card where you pay 3% monthly.)

However obviously interest would occurr also so it could make it quite expensive in the long run!

Best to probalary look at a Low Interest card as offered by most banks. and check at their website to see what card would offer you the better deal there.
