Yes, yes and YES! What your friend's ex did to his daughter is criminal, it is literally against the law and will give the child bad credit before she is even an adult, please give the phone'cable company an anonymous tip to get this cleared from the child's name, she should not have to suffer later for another's mistakes. |

if they fall behind on the payments and they owe, yea |
|

yes their credit will be messed up unless they prove or thier parents prove that someone else did it |

Of course she will, its her credit information. I think thats so wrong to do, its very irresponsible and just stupid. I know people who have done this and It makes me so mad, its not fair at all. If they cant take care of there own credit there just going to screw up the childs as well. Sure they will have there fun and freedom with whatever they open up, credit line, cable, telephone, whatever but it will just end up getting shut off again due to there own laziness and stupidity. And in the end hurt an innocent persons credit |

WHat An A*SH*LE!!!!! thats as bad as a father consistantly taking their childs allowance money without asking them if they can borrow it and spending it.. yes he could ruin her credit although how hes using it im not sure because it should show up minor child.... |
|

brb/tlb
 |

Yes if he is unable to pay the bill and it gets turned over to collections, his daughters credit could be ruined. However, there are some cases to where when she does grow up she could show the date on the bills and show her date of birth as shown on her birth certificate or state id card and take her dad to court and get it straightened out by court order to the credit agencies. |
|

yeahhh
|
i saw a people's court episode on this. A grandmother took out credit cards, etc. on her grand daughters name and now the little girl has awful credit, so yes, its possible. |

i feel so sorry for that little girl, my mother did the same thing to me when i was a child and yes i had to pay every penny back before i could even open an account with the electric company.
it can really mess things up once shes older,if i were your friend i would start paying it off now, so his little girl can have a clean slate. |

Yes, although it would be easily corrected if the victim knew what they were doing. |

Is he aware he can get into a ton of trouble for doing that....identity theft for one thing, regardless if it is his daughter....and yes, this can affect her scores, get her in trouble too if not careful.... |

Yes, I have a friend and her dirt bag dad used her soc # for debt and loans back when she was a teenager, without her knowledge, She is now 30 and still is suffering. She has straightened out some, but she can rarely get a loan or credit card. |

yes if they dont pay it..its also called identity theft.---which is a sticky situation cuz most kids will not want to sue their parents.....a parent should never put a bill in their childs name...thats just pathetic,.... |

It might show up on the girl's credit report, but it would be easy to have removed since it is unverifiable, and she is now a minor. The mother should put a fraud alert on the daughter's SS number with the three major credit bureaus. When the girl turns 18, she needs to pull her credit report and make sure it is clean. |

yes cause that will still add tax |
