yeah if you have a checking account. or you could use a money order to pay the bill, but those cost money. also to let you know, if you have zero credit the phone company you wish to go with will most likely make you give them a deposit-before i had established credit Verizon wanted a $500 deposit.

What you should do is get one of those phones where you buy the minutes as you go. You just buy like 60 minutes for $10, and you can buy the minutes pretty much anywhere, even convenient stores.

You need to sign a contract and will need to undergo a credit check I beleive. You don't need a credit card or a debit card but you will need a bank account with a good record of money having been paid in and not going regulary overdrawn etc etc.

If you are talking about a cell phone you can pay cash and get a prepaid one. That way you can eat your cake and have it too.

I am personally a big fan of my virgin mobile prepaid. I don't use it much so I only pay $20 every three months, minutes roll over, and life is much easier than when I was on a monthly billed cell. Good luck, but check into prepaid, I love it.
