There is nothing wrong with that.
Millions of people want to organize their lives and want to record every dollar they spend on their Credit Cards Statements so they can analyze and cut their expenses.
As long as you pay the entire amount withing the grace period (Which is typically 25 days or less) he will be fine.
Also, there are many Credit Card Companies offering 0% Introductory Rates for the first 12 months and perhaps his credit card is one of those and he is not worried about interests because he is not paying any for now.
Finally there are many credit cards that offer 1% CASH BACK this means for every $100.00 you get $1.00 back.
This is like getting a 1% discount on everything.
It may not seem like much but if you and your wife make $100,000.00 every year and the two are using this type of credit card you get $1,000.00 a year which is enough to buy an 32" LCD HDTV.
Here are two Credit Cards:
If you have Credit Card Debt I suggest you to choose the second one and move the debt from the credit card with the highest interest to that credit card.
If you don't have Credit Card Debt I suggest you to choose the first one and get 1% CASH BACK on everything. |

That's a little bit of money.
When you're using a credit card most of the stores tell you that is required to spend more than $10 on products.
For candies and spooky stuff such as chocolates, and things without high value it's fool to be spending like that.
Also I don't think that the interest will screw him off. |

is it a credit card or a debit card with a mastercar/discover/visa logo? i use my debit card for everything. the only way the interest will get him is if he doesn't pay the bill on time. |

Yeah it might but he might pay it off at end of the month so i doesn't effect him.... |

I would use a credit cards for any transaction. Credit Card companies look at how often you use their cards. Try to use your credit cards instead of cash and debit cards on daily transactions (groceries, gas, food, etc.) if you want to continue to build your credit. These are things that you already planned on spending so why not charge it but recommend to pay off all or as much as possible each month. Don't use your credit card as a means to get by... |

You are only charged interest if you do not pay the amount off right away. Many people use credit card to keep track of expenses and find out where the money goes. Others like the idea of using the bank's money for a month. Then of course there is the reason you present. Carrying cash around is a hassle, possible dangerous (robbery), and it messes up the flow of your ever so well tailored clothes. If it is change, it jingles (annoying) and adds to your weight.
Take care!

Thats dumb, I would never use my card for such small amounts, besides here in the UK most places if not all demand you spend at least £5 or $10 to use a credit card |

He may be able to pay it off every month. Once I pay my credit cards off, I will only use them for tiny things that I can pay off when the bill comes in.
That can actually HELP your credit! :-) |

No. Not if it's a checkcard that draws from his bank account. Most of them don't specifiy if they're credit or debit cards. |

Unless it's under a dollar, I usually use my credit/debit card. I don't carry cash, but I can usually dig up some change outta my car. :) |

If I did not have the cash, than I would use my credit card. As others said, there won't be any interest charges if he pays off his account on time. |
