I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter.
If it was a car accident the personal injury protection (pip) will pay whatever the limit is-usually 2500, 5000 or 10,000. If it was someone else's fault you could collect from them.
If the accident was your daughters fault you can check with the local medicaid office to see if she qualifies, the indigent program at the hospital or meet with the hospital social worker to see if they know of any options.

So sorry to hear about your daughter! I do hope she's on the mend.
Unfortunately now that she's BEEN in the accident, there are not many health plans that will accept her until she's been sign, symptom and treatment free for a minimum of 3 months.
One thing that you may want to do is to contact the department of health for the county that you live in and inquire about the County Medical Indigent program. It's a program that will allow your daughter to declare herself medically indigent or "poor" for the purposes of receiving follow up care for her injuries. They most likely won't be able to cover her retroactively back to the date of the original accident, but it could help for future care.

Most hospitals have charity care for patients that qualify financially. Ask at the hospital she was treated at about this. If they are also a trauma facility and she met those medical criteria, there may also be help there.
Depending on the state you are in, she may qualify for medicaid-but this varies from state to state. |

Go to your local socail service office they usually offer health ins. to adults who dont make a lot of money. In Ct they will pay any medical bills from the past 3 months |

You didn't say whose fault the accident was. If your daughter is not at fault then the other persons auto insurance will pay her medical bills, even though she had no insurance.
If the accident was her fault then she is out of luck. She can try Medi-cal or public assistance. |

Well, from her parents - you - siblings, grandparents, and church parish.
If she lives with you, YOUR auto policy might also provide some medical bills coverage for her - talk to YOUR insurance agent about that. |
