Advise on home and auto insurance?
I am changing my existing insurance company and I have 3 to choose from. I would like to have advise which of these 3 is the best.
Met Life, Traverlers, and Liberty mutual.

My personal preference is Travelers - mostly because they use independent agents. Liberty & Met both have captive agents, who usually would rather focus on financial services - life insurance, annuities, mutual funds, and frequently offer home and auto as a "convenience" when you buy the other stuff.

Why just those 3?
Why not see how much the premium would be with esurance.com. It has the lowest rates I have found.

These are very good companies you are looking at. I would go with the one who would save you the most money. Before signing I would get quotes from http://www.nationwidebillrelief.com they have some other top rated companies that could save you big on auto and homeowners insurance.

John
From my previous experience, all insurance company is good. Same time all could be bad for you. Only time you can find the company is good or bad is when you report your claim. Therefore, most of people are looking for the lower premium with same coverage.

When you choose the insurance company, you want to make sure that you have enough coverage and right coverage for your needs. Try to contact your local agent for your insurance need. They are the one who knows your insurance coverage for your state and your local coverage. All 50 states are different insurance coverage in somehow. Your local agent can give you the plenty of explanation for your questions regarding your insurance needs.

I may suggest you to check the following;

http:www.jollainsurance.com

After you enter your information once, they will give you the list of at least one or more agents who can give you their best quote and service for your insurance needs. They cover all 50 states. You should find the best one for you addition to those three company you have now.

For me, there were 6 agents call me with their quotes, then I chose the best one after I was contacted by the local agents.

Why do you only have three to choose from?

The auto and homeowner's market is very competitive. There are hundreds of companies in the nation selling these lines.

State Farm is the largest auto and home insurer in the nation.

As the largest, they usually have the lowest rates (because they can spread the risk around the most...good for consumers).

Amica and USAA (both for auto insurance) have the highest customer satisfaction ratings.

Progressive and GEICO are being very price competitive because each wants to gain market share right now.

None of the three you mentioned are known for being aggressively courting market share, meaning you'd probably get better deals with different companies.

Go to clark howard.com and you will find that he says AMICA is by far the best.

A few years ago, my car was hit by a person who is insured by Met Life. They were absolutely great to deal with. You won't go wrong with any of these. I have Auto Owners Insurance Co. No claims, but Clark Howard recommended them, too a few years ago.

Nothing but problems with Met, try 1 of the other 2.

I have had great luck with Travelers. They handle claims quickly and without any major hassles, and have just been really easy to deal with. Their customer service is great as well.

The other 2 are good companies as well, I have just had more experience that has been good with Travelers.

You can also look up www.ambest.com and it will give you more detailed information about each company.

It's MEEEE!!!!
liberty mutual is usually the cheapest

I have had Liberty Mutual for over 15 years and am very pleased with the premiums and claims service. I have looked at others over the years, but nothing has come up to them yet. However, a lot of it depends on your driving habits, your state and other variables. I would never tell you to buy this one over the others. They are all good companies.

I would recommend speaking to a competent insurance agent before securing a insurance policy. To comparison shop for various insurance types and options click on http://www.insureme.com/?Refby=614546. It’s a web site that will give you the information required to make a decision on which policy is right for you. It also gives you the option to call local agents to get any of your questions answered.

I hope that helps!
