I'm not sure why she answers insurance questions AND I'm not really sure who thinks they're the 'best' either.
The ANSWER to your question is IF the 80 yr old is healthy you can get a 10 year term policy for a $50,000 policy for about $2,000-$3,000 a year.
You can also get a whole life policy. If they're sickly you'll need a guaranteed issue policy and that'll be pretty pricey. |

Sorry, 80 is already past the expected life span. Once you're 80, you can't even get a "guaranteed issue" policy. The ONLY way you'll find coverage, is by paying out face value. You won't get odds, no matter how great your health is.
Kinda like trying to get fire insurance on your house, after it's burned down. |
