Am I being followed by work comp?
I have a neck injury and shoulder injury from work. How do I know if WC has PI survellience? I am not doing anything wrong, but the idea is bugging me. Any hints to the honest injured person in the work comp world?

By the way, I am not faking at all!

There is no way you will ever know if you're under surveillance. The w/c insurer doesn't inform your employer and they won't tell you if you call them. The PI is so good at what he/she does and has such high tech equipment that you can be watched very effectively from a distance without you ever knowing. I've seen some pretty amazing footage of insurance cheats hobbling into a doctor's office only to be videotaped, later, playing basketball with friends. One guy who claimed disability from a back injury from a roofing job he was doing was videotaped working on a friend's roof, falling OFF the roof onto the ground, getting up and dusting himself off before climbing the ladder back up to the roof to continue the job!!! If you're not faking, you don't have a problem. If you ARE faking, they already know about it and you'll find out pretty soon that you do have a problem.

they are watching you, make no mistake about it. And they hire private investigators who are really good at what they do.

Don't act like you're not hurt. Reminds me of a t-shirt I saw one time: "I may be paranoid, but that doesn't mean they're not after me!"

You don't. They won't tell you, and they won't tell the employer, because the insurance company doesn't want the employer to let it slip to you.

If you're honestly injured, it doesn't matter AT ALL, they won't catch you doing anything you *can't* do. It only matters if you're faking it.

So don't sweat it.

All workers comp companies have PI surveillance. It's cheaper than paying out the large sums for people who fake it.

While you will never see them, they follow you EVERYWHERE and they can see inside your house, even with your blinds drawn.
