If you are in a no-fault state, and if your no-fault or Personal Injury Protection coverage includes an element of wage loss that cannot be removed, then your agent could be right. If this is the case, you should complain to your legislator, who passed the no-fault law, rather than to your agent or the insurance company who are both just enforcing the law. |

Laws are different in every state.
You should contact the Department of Insurance in your state to see if this "protection" is required or not.
Usually this loss of wages is very cheap and not a big deal. But if you don't need it then see if you can delete it. |

Could he/she mean that you don't want to get sued? You can have your income garnished by a judgment if you carry low limits of liability insurance. Maybe they are asking you to increase your coverage. Or, is it a separate endorsement? |

"lost wages" coverage is an "optional coverage" it is not something you have to purchase. I would suggest calling your state Insurance department and reporting this guy and also finding another insurance agent. By law the only coverage you have to have is Liability insurance. If you have a lien holder on you car they will require you to have comprehensive and collsion coverage--- everything else is optional to your budget. |

Go elsewhere. Your insurance agent doesn't dictate your coverage. However, if your car is financed, the lender will generally require collision/comprehensive. |
