Definitely call the Department of Insurance in your state. Some states allow you to submit your complaints online, and then they will start to contact your directly for more information. I would gather all the facts, dates, names of people you talked to, etc. The more info you have, the better your case will be presented. It may take a little while, but if Humana was at fault, this needs to be resolved. As stated by another, any insurance company does not like to deal with a State Ins Dept, who will mediate between the two of you. Good Luck! |

Don't bother with the Better Business Bureau. It's powerless to do anything to help you. Rather, contact the agency in your state which regulates insurance firms doing business there. Be prepared to be fully documented with your complaint. If you are correct in your stance, Humana will respond rapidly.
They don't want state insurance commissions on their backs. |

Send the Better Business Bureau a nice little complaint and tell them that Humana is not helping you in resolving your issue with the coverage. |
