It would be considered fraud to back-date an insurance certificate. The agent can lose his license and/or be fined if caught back-dating.
I had a policyholder who let his auto policy lapse. On the way home from work about 2 days after the policy lapsed, he had an at-fault accident, involving two other vehicles. He was still living at home with his mother at the time. She called me and asked me to accept the premium payment and back-date the receipt. I refused, telling her that it would be fraud to do that, and I could lose my license. She said, "If he were your son, you'd do it". I told her that I would not, even if it were my own son.
Recommendation: Keep your insurance paid, and you won't have to worry about having a valid certificate. |

Bella is right.
In most states an agent can back-date insurance up to 30 days.
I use a company out of Texas that back-dates for me in almost every state.

Very easy. I know of one company that can legally back-date up to 30 days in most states.
Good Luck. I would suggest you hurry. You could lose your license for 90 to 120 days.

Bella N and Paul H are scammers. Do not listen to them. No agent can legally backdate insurance coverage without permission from the insurer, and NO insurer is going to backdate coverage for auto insurance. None. |
