First it depends on the plan. If she's not covered for other drivers in her car, then it's not covered because he's not on the plan.
Then it depends on how nice your insurance company is because a lot don't cover DUI related incidences. |

If your mother gave your dad permission to drive her car, and unless he was specifically excluded from coverage, her liability insurance WILL cover property damage to the other vehicle, but collision damage to her car only if she has collision coverage.
My question is this: Why would she allow him to drive her car, probably knowing that he would get drunk?
One thing I have learned over my 30 years in the insurance business is DON'T LOAN YOUR CAR TO ANYONE. IT WILL GET WRECKED!! |
