Employers are not required to offer health insurance benefits at all.
If they offer benefits to some employees, then they have to offer them to all employees of the same classification. (i.e. - full time employees)
They have the right to choose not to offer health insurance to anyone though. Sorry. |

If the employer doesn't offer health benefits, that is perfectly legal. What is not legal is if he offers benefits to some full time employees, but not to all full time employees. Call an insurance broker and buy your own benefits. My daughter does that. She works full time but doesn't have health benefits. She is young and healthy, so it costs her around $175 a month for a very good plan. Good luck to you. |

Just because you are working full time doesn't mean the company has to provide benefits. Does the company provide benefits to anyone? If so it is likely you are eligible or will be come eligible after a waiting period. Talk to HR (if there is one) or get an employee handbook. |

It is not mandatory. |

There is no requirement for a company to offer any benefits. If you get it be grateful, but if you don't it's no big deal because you can usually get coverage on your own for less. |

Not all places offer health benefits. I work full time and I don't receive health benefits. However, I am insured through my husband who is a teacher. Have you tried asking your boss why he doesn't offer benefits? He may have some specific reasons. |

~~Unfortunately, there is no law requiring a company to offer health insurance policy to their employees.
Your only choice is to pay for private insurance, or find an employer who offers health insurance.
I hate to be political, but check out www.barackobama.com as his health insurance plan for all Americans, would gratly benefit you. Another reason to get out and vote if you agree. Best of luck!~~ |

There is no law, except maybe in Hawaii, that an employer has to provide you with any health benefits.
I think in Hawaii, they do. But I'm not positive about that. IN any other state, it's perfectly legal to NOT offer benefits to your employees.
I think if you want a job with benefits, you need to start looking for another job. |
