Are there people who can counsel you on applying for health insurance,as far as what to say on the application?

Don
Yes, they are called brokers or agents. We will assist you with the application process.

What do you mean by counseling? Any answers you give will be checked on the medical insurance bureau (MIB) for accuracy. If you have health issues, the agent can submit your application for preliminary underwriting with most companies to avoid a refusal or rating counting against you later. If you can't get insurance, most states have an insurance program for uninsurables. It is usually very expensive.

Yes. When you buy insurance you should ALWAYS use a broker. They are your advocate and they are the ones that not only help you find the 'best' plan, but also help you get the 'best' plan.

Using a broker costs nothing, but not using one can prove to be very expensive.
