She can cover you, but she will have to pay the amount to cover you as you woudl to cover yourself. Maybe a little less because of her credit. Instead of 250 a month you might get 230. |

The person whose name is on the title or registration of the vehicle is the one that has to have the insurance. So if the car is in your mothers name then the insurance has to be in her name. If the car is in your name then the insurance has to be in your name. You can't insure what you don't own so the ownership issue is the biggie.
No one here can tell you what the rate would be. There are too many variables such as the state you live in, the insurance company, the coverage that you have, credit scores, etc.
What I can't figure out is why you just don't call the insurance agent and ask what the rates would be if you got a 06 Honda Civic in your name and own insurance and then as an alternate rate what it would be if the car was in your mother's name? If the insurance agent can't give you the rate in a few minutes you need a new agent/company. This is their job. |

You can be on the same insurance policy as your mother so long as you're both at the same address. However, if you don't live with your mother, it won't work out.
Because you're male (I'm assuming from the avatar) and you're under 25, the premium would still be kinda high.
There's no way anyone here can give you an exact quote on your insurance. There are many other things that would factor into how much you'd be quoted.
P.S. When I was 25 yrs old living in Central Florida, I had to pay about $115 a month. But that's just to give you an idea; don't assume your rate would be anything similar. |

Age has nothing to do with it.
For car insurance, you list all the household members on your policy.
As long as the name on the title of the car, the registration, and the insurance are HER name, the car can be on HER policy. You will be charged as a primary operator on the most expensive car. Which will probably be the new one.
Keep in mind, that means that SHE has to take out the loan on the car.
If the loan is in your name, then the title will be in your name, and the insurance will have to be in your name. |

If you are living or pretending to live at the same address you can get discounts if you use your mom's address. Age does not matter. Only thing that matters is that you live in the same house.
