my 17 yr old daughter got her own ins. on my car without me knowing and now found out she has to pay 260 a month is she legaly responsible to be held in this contract
well first off i am wondering how she took out a policy on YOUR car. you cannot insure somethign you dont own, so unless that car is in her name, she cant insure it. i would go to her company or agent and let them know that the car is not titled to her and she is only 17. she cannot enter a binding contract until she is 18. im not sure who she went through, but i sure wouldn't use them again!

no, the insurance agent screwed up

She is not of the age of majority. I would go to the company and let them know of there screw up. If they give you any guff. I would go the states insurance commissioners and file a grievance. They will refund your money very quickly as they don't want a black mark against there company.

If she is deem to be a minor she does not have legal standing to make a contract

18 is an adult in all states when it comes to contracts, she is not liable for the payment and neither are the parents!
