That's what good ol' Unions are for. As long as 50% of the employees in the business are will vote Yes, you can Unionize, and then all pay, perk, and benefits negotiations go through them.
The downside, however, is that if the company Truly is loosing money and can't stay afloat, bringing in a Union might make them go belly up, and then you'd be out of a job completely. |

Yes, companies can do pay cuts the same as they do pay raises, with or without promotions/demotions. Nothing illegal about it. |

~~Yes. The most important thing a company can do is keep itself solvent. They have to be sure they stay current on their obligations, and that includes trying to keep their employees. If not, you would be out of a job.
It is such a difficult time for everyone, try and remain hopeful because at least you have a job with a constant paycheck. There are so many thousands of people who would gladly accept a cut just to keep the job.
Hopefully, you'll get your regular pay back soon. If this horrible mess we have gotten into can ever be fixed!~~ |

Yes a pay cut, the economy is terrible, it's not illegal, they make the rules, and I'm sure the government will agree according to how everything is no in life.
