Can my new health insurance policy be retroactively cancelled if I weigh in more than was on my application?
Not by 100 pounds or anything, but I just guessed at my weight. If I put 195 on the app, but weigh in at 210 or 215, could they cancel my coverage?
Yes they have the right to do that but more than likely they will just uprate your policy. I did the same darn thing and was off by about 15 lbs. They uprated me and gave me the option of accepting it or rejecting it. It wasn't that much higher so I took the policy and paid the extra cost. It was worth it to me.

Some companies do 'post issue underwiting'. If your true weight is over their limit, they can rescind the policy and refund unused premium. You better lose weight before you see a doctor.

If the weight that you listed was inaccurate at the time, yes; if it was true then, and you gained weight later, no. How could they prove it? For all they know, is it possible that you weighed what you wrote on the day that you wrote it and gained 15-20 pounds later?

I doubt that if you were off a little bit that they would, but if you were way off they might be able to. Check the fine print in the contract to be sure.

Insurance companies use a fairly standard weight chart. Depending on your sex, age, and height, the 215 may still be within the acceptable weight range.
Here is the weight chart that Blue Cross of Arizona uses. Your insurance carrier may use a different chart, but it most likely will not differ by much. http://www.higginscompanies.com/weight.pdf

Sounds like your bathroom scale is just gracious. This doesn't sound like you're trying to pull one over on them.
The underwriter would have the right to not issue the policy, but if it was just issued, it's irrelevant now.
