You are liable for any injuries that happen on your property so they COULD sue you. Your insurance company has a duty to defend you under your homeowners policy so they would provide a defense if this went all the way to court proceedings. Keep in touch with your agent and the claims adjuster and make sure you communicate back and forth about what is happening so that any issues that come up with this can be handled immediately.

No, no one can "claim" on your homeowners other that you. They can, however, sue you and your carrier should either settle or provide a defense for you... |

No one can file a claim on a homeowners policy except the insured.
What they CAN do, is ask YOU to file the claim, and sue you for damages.
What can they get? Likely, only "medical payments" which on the standard homeowners policy, is a no-fault coverage which pays medical bills only, up to $500. And ONLY if you agree to file a claim before they sue you.
They're welcome to try to sue you. But homeowners doesn't cover deliberate injury by a named insured, so it's not likely to pay ANY pain and suffering or lost wages, even if a judge DOES find against you - which is dubious, as they were drinking AND wrestling. |
