anyone can receive donations. However, unless you're registered under 503C of the US government, you are not a "tax deductible" donation. BTW, if you're not a tax deductible entity, those donations are income and taxable if over the gift level set by the government.
The quickest way to set up a channel is to get local media coverage on the accident, and set up the account with a local bank. If it's unusual enough, it may get national press, but there are so many car accidents it would need to be something like a bus, or a terrorist, to garner anything beyond local attention. |
