That depends on where you live, because not every carrier writes in every state. Do not base your quotes solely on independant agents, since many times they cannot write for larger companies that require captive agents. Check out AM Best's website to see what rating the insurance companies you are looking at are rated. If they are below an A, cross them off your list. Some reputable companies are State Farm and Farmers Insurance. I would avoid Allstate and Geico at all costs. |

Not all carriers write in all states. ANY A rated carrier, will do a good job, it's more about picking the right COVERAGES.
SO, you really need to talk to a local, independent agent, who can get you quotes with a variety of different companies. |
