the credit cards im not sure about but there is some legality issue there. as far as the medical insurance, he CAN NOT take you off unless the divorce decree states so. i work for a health insurance company and i encounter this alot unfortunately. he is obligated to keep u on unless its documented on the decree. some states require for the spouse to stay on until they re-marry (new hampsire and mass). if he took you off then you should also contact his employer if he gets his insurance from his employer group. the employer should know not to term anyone off the plan if they dont have actual documentation or proof of the "life changing event", they shouldnt be going by his word. you need to contact his employer immediately, i hope u dont live in massachusetts because its state mandated that everyone is insured and if theyre not then they can face a nasty tax penalty. if you have problems contact ur local insurance commission so that they can make outreach to the employer. every state is different...hope this helps |

Dependents can be removed for any reason during open enrollment. (Unless you live in one of those New England states with mandatory insurance requirements...then you'll have to check your state law on that one.)
So, if your husband notified his employer during open enrollment that he didn't wish to carry spouse insurance any longer, there isn't much you can do about that.
There are different rules for dropping a dependent when its not during open enrollment. You need a "qualifying event" to drop coverage then.
You can try contacting the insurance company (or even the HR department) to find out if you are eligible for COBRA coverage. They should be able to give you that information. |

Yes, he can do it. You will have to go to court and get the benefits through divorce benefits granted by a judge. |

I'm not a lawyer (thank goddess), but unless you are LEGALLY separated, I don't think he can. You're going to need a lawyer anyway, I think you should call sooner rather than later! Good luck! |

If it is through his job and you are no longer with him then they don't have to keep paying it for you as far as i know. |

If he is paying premiums, and has stopped paying the premium for the spouse (you). then yes, it is legal.
Please consult your divorce attorney, because you may be able to negotiate in your divorce settlement for any unpaid medical bills you incurred before the divorce was / is finalized.
good luck |
