Can we insure our life with more than one insurance company?
If so, in health insurance case, how we get reimbursement with one one set of original bills?

You can buy *** many life insurance policies with as many companies as you can afford. There is usually a price advantage to combine coverage with one company.

Health insurance is another matter. The insurers will go back and forth deciding which should pay more. Gets to be very complicated. You are required to notify each company of additional coverage that you have.

i can't make sense why you should get many health insurance policies? why not opt to maximize in one policy? i believe you get only one set of original bills and when you apply for reimbursement, the company gets it. where will you get another set of original bills to file claim?

Life and health insurance are totally different animals. Yes, you can have multiple life insurance policies. If you are covered by more than one health plan, "coordination of benefits" comes into play, in which one insurance is determined to be primary insurer and the other is secondary.

Ted
Yes, you can. The`y pay whomever you authorize them to pay. Beneficiary is the word.

Yes, you can have your life insured with more than one life insurance company. You just have to declare it up front.

Health insurance is NOT life insurance. So . . you want to carry two health plans, so one reimburses the other?? That doesn't make sense. You have two health policies? One is primary, one is secondary. You will have to send in COPIES of the bills to the secondary insurer, along with your explanation of benefits from the first insurer, in order to see if the second company will pick up anything you ended up paying out of pocket.

You can't get paid twice.

Yes, Multiple billing is a crime. They pay for original death certificates and read the fine print. Multiple policies may void some payouts.

Yes you can, but health insurance and life insurance are two different products. With Life you will just have to let all companies know about the multiple policies, with the health policies if you have more than one and they all require a deductable they will still make you pay the deductableland then they will split the coverage between them selves so why would you want to have more than one policy?
