Google Lloyds of London. I hear you could even insure your left nut if you wanted to and were willing to pay!!

Pick up the phone book and call an agent.

Jessie is a Hardy fan
if it has value you can insure it besides your required car insurance or house insurance if you have a mortgage you can get renters insurance or you can insure valuable antiques antiques should be appraised and the appraiser will give you a value to insure it at....just call your insurance company

Lloyd's of London insures all kinds of weird and useless things right down to insuring models legs and facial features.
back in th e80's they insured Kristy Brinkley's legs for 2 million U.S. dallors.

mbrcatz
Effectively, yes. The QUESTION is, are you willing to pay the rate? Some things, well, the rate costs more than the "coverage".

I think what you're really asking is, can I get great odds on an event happening that I think is pretty likely to happen (ie, low pay in for a high pay out) and the answer to THAT is, no.

But any halfway decent independent agent, can get you, for example, a $100,000 life insurance policy on grandma, who's dying of cancer - for a mere $110,000.

If you're willing to pay, you can play.

Most anything, as long as the loss will not be over-indemnified and the risk is predictable and reasonable.

The Lloyd's of London is composed of a group of different underwriters pulling from the same central fund. If you need something like kidnap and ransom insurance, you need to know WHICH underwriter of the Lloyd's you should call.

What's the risk you are trying to displace?

Not anything, but many things.

ACEâ„¢
Yes.

Insurance company, like Allstate.

The Godless Heathen
Yes. For example, at one time Tina Turner had her legs insured for $1,000,000 and Madonna had her breasts insured for 3mil. Lloyds of London is famous for insuring almost anything you're willing to pay the premium for. Just call around you should be able to find someone to do it.

Milorad
No you can't. There are certain things you cannot be insured for. Most commonly these things are referred to as "acts of god".

Even if you could pay a ridiculously high premium to be insured against MOST things - there would still be some things you couldn't buy insurance for.

Like... say... going on a bender in vegas with piles of money stuffed in your shirt. Nobody would insure that activity because it would have a 1:1 premium, and no chance of making money.

sadeyez
most products come with a warranty option if you chose it at time of purchase .and then cars and people are insured not sure after that .
