You should already have it. Anyone with a social security number in the U.S. who has been working automatically has Disability Insurance. You need to call the state & file for Disability Insurance if you need it.

DI is the hardest insurance to underwrite. Very strict.
Someone who is already disabled would not be able to get insurance.
Just like trying to buy life insurance for someone who is already dead.
Depending on your disability, you might be able to get some coverage, but they would exclude paying for existing conditions.
