Sorry, there is no insurance company that will issue a policy and pay for his hospital treatment. That is like trying to get homeowners insurance after your house burns down.
AHCCCS will cover people of all ages, but you have to have income under $851 per month. If he is low income he can apply and get coverage for this. Here is the website for more information: http://www.ahcccs.state.az.us/site/ |

You won't be able to get coverage for this incident. It would be like purchasing collision coverage for your auto after an accident.
If you would be willing to purchase it now, in a time of need, that means you should be able to afford the premium. I would suggest you get insurance before something else, maybe even more serious, happens. |

No. You'll never be able to apply for an insurance policy to cover a bill while you're currently in the hospital.
He should have considered that possibility when he made the decision to go without coverage.
Unless he is low-income and qualifies for Medicaid, there is no potential for insurance coverage of this incident. He'll have to work out a payment plan with the hospital, doctors, and other providers that will bill him as a result of the services he's receiving now.

Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your fiancee.
But, honestly there cant be any Insurance Cover for him (either Health or Personal Accident) till he is out of the Hospital. If you are or he is working, then you may check up with your employer, in-case they are covering accident insurance.
Insurance is not a lottery ticket nor an ATM machine. It is a risk mitigation tool and works only if policy is purchased before the incident.
I would seriously recommend you to quickly take a family Health policy with Accident rider, if you are also not covered. If You plan to buy the policy now, then you should declare the current medical condition or pre-existing ailments with your Insurance company, so that future claims are not in jeopardy.
