Yes. You just have to pay a WAY LOT for it. If you're looking to avoid estate taxes, it's a great plan.
We're not talking about paying $10,000 for a $100,000 policy here, we're talking about paying $75,000 for a paid up $100,000 policy. It's REALLY only good to avoid estate taxes. You're NOT going to get "good odds". |

Yes, coverage may be available.
You need to get to the right companies that specialize in underwriting parkinson's.
The availability will depend on whether it is mild, moderate, or severe as well as current condition.
Mild - no significant rigidity, localized tremors, no significant gait abnormality.
Moderate - minimal rigidity, widespread tremor, able to walk without assistance.
Severe - instability in walking, multiple medications, confined to wheelchair, inability to communicate, psychosis, etc..
Mild and moderate - coverage may be available with traditional carriers. With severe, the only type of coverage typically available will be guaranteed issue coverage |

Insurance companies are all about assuming risk. They calculate what you are going to cost them eventually and base their rates on that.
With Parkinson's, you are probably not going to find an insurance company willing to underwrite the insurance policy due to the risk. If you do find a policy, it is probably going to be outrageously expensive with a low coverage.
There are websites that promise life insurance with no exams. They will probably check your medical history though.
You might try www.zanderins.com. I purchased life insurance through them before my problems began, and they seem to be a good company. If Dave Ramsey endorses the company, it is probably a good company.
Don't be afraid to ask. The worst that can happen is that someone says no. |

Yes, I can think of three regular companies that would entertain you case. SunLife, John Hancock, and Mass Mutual. Final offers will depend on your history and level of control. Declines usually only come if you were just diagnosed or cannot walk on your own.
