Yes you can. Though if you have a lot of policies some insurance companies may start asking why during the underwritting process.
I think it may be possible to actually be denied a policy if you have some level of coverage grossly disproportionate to your estimated worth. |

Yes, you can have more than one life insurance policy.
However, most life insurance companies ask you on their application if you have other policies and how much coverage you already have in place.
The life insurance companies don't want you to have more life insurance coverage than you are insurable for (based on your income and net worth) because this may lead to a situation where you literally are worth more dead than alive.
In that case, after two years ( one year in a few states) you could actually kill yourself and your beneficiaries would receive the life insurance benefits. Every policy comes with a suicide clause. After the suicide clause ends, the life insurance company must payout the policy benefits even if you commit suicide.
This may be the reason they limit how much life insurance they offer you, so you don't get the wrong ideas.

Yes, you can have as many as you want. You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price. I am paying less than ½ after I did. The policies start at around $2 per month.
