Yes. But its a bad idea to get more than one. You should just get one policy and add a spouse rider and maybe a child rider. If you want more coverage, then just increase the current one. That way you avoid the extra policy fees and you get discounts.

Unless you want to pay more money and get bunch of separate policies, thats totally up to you.

Insurance
Yes, you can but you must know that is the objective of the new coverage. if you are currently under insured than buying an additional one does make sense.

you can have as many policies as you want. does it make sense? sometimes and sometimes not. as long as you can pay the premiums and can justify the coverage (reasons, assets, income, trust, etc. . .) then multiple policies are important. be cautious about people who are telling you this type of insurance is good and that type is bad, or multiple policies are a bad idea, whithout actually knowing your situation and your goals. good luck.

Yes you can

Life insurance can serve different purposes besides death benefits. Investment and Estate planning to name 2

Yes you can have more than one life insurance policy.
Typical example is group life insurance and your personal life insurance.
The life insurance generally depends upon how much you need a coverage not the no. of coverage. which again depend upon your needs like temperory needs( to cover mortgage or debt) or any permanent need(estate planning).
Also worth to know that every policy has some adminisration cost so more number of insurance means more cost.
It is always good to have one insurance with complete coverage and if you have some extra need you can always put rider on your base policy.
You can get details from any experience insurance agent by proper need insurance analysis.

Of course, if you can pay the premiums.

Yes,but it's not neccessary. If you get the right ins. policy you won't need another one. Note: term insurance is better than whole life ins. There are a lot of diff kinds of term but ins. providers won't tell you much about them bacause they make more commission on whole life policies.Just do your research before making any final decisions. I wish you well.

Yes, although the face amounts will be totaled together to figure your "jumbo limit." This will affect how much total insurance you can have and generally determine the underwriting requirements for the new company. A competent, independent agent will be able to tell you if having more than one policy makes sense or not, and why or why not.

BTW, if higher commission meant worse deal to the consumer, no-load life insurance would almost always be more competitive. As it is, the opposite is true. Making a purchase based solely on what other people make is foolish.

Also riders are not always less expensive than stand alone policies, especially if they are attached to a less competitive product to begin with.
