Sure, there's a possibility! Ask them to rewrite you (it's not a renewal, it's a rewrite). They might want to set up payments through EFT, or payment in full, if you had a habit of paying late. |

Firstly, an insurance company would not canel a policy without notification, or at least not in my experience. If you contact them and make the payment with 30 days of cancellation it should be reinstated as soon as payment is received. Contact them and im sure they will be happy to help....no one wants to lose customers and remember you are always right!! |

depends on the company and how long overdue you are. most companies will reinstate a policy if its been less than 30 days and you sign a statement of no loss. |

It depends on what state you live in. Some states give you up to 30 days to reinstate your existing policy without a lapse in coverage. If you can't do that, as long as you don't owe them any money, they should rewrite your coverage. |

I used to write for Gainsco, and absolutely, you can rewrite a new policy with them. The do not have to reinstate you, since many states have different laws on how a company can reinstate someone, and I can tell you that Gainsco does not usually reinstate after cancellation. That does not mean that you cannot get a new policy started by calling your Gainsco agent. Assuming there is not past due earned premium, you could start a policy ASAP. If you have premium due from your last policy, you will need to pay that before starting a new policy. |

A policy is a contract between the two of you.
in the policy, there is a section which specifically deals with non payment of premium. I am sorry, but forgetting to pay is no excuse.
it would be up to them to decide if they would reinstate. or write a new policy.
There'
is a possible way to prevent this from ever happening again. Have the premiums deducted automatically from your checking account.You never have to remember to pay it, it's done automatically But you have to make sure there are adequate funds in your account!. |

I suggest you contact your agent for the best answer. I am not sure I would want to renew with a company that canceled my insurance just because I forgot to pay. Did they not send you a notice? |
