My wife got hit yesterday going thru an intersection. A woman failed to yield and she was hit, spinning her into a 360. The car has been deemed inoperable by both our police department and the body shop. The back axle was bent up pretty bad and a lot of stuff will have to be fixed before it can be operable again. My question is is will the insurance provide her a vehicle while hers is being fixed? I am out of town for my job and the accident has left her with no vehicle to get back and forth to work in. |

I got into an accident as well. Since I had no other transportation they provided on to me. They have to provide her transportation if she has no other! If she calls you and tells you that they don't provide it to her ask her for the insurance companies information and the person she is DIRECTLY dealing with. You don't want to have deal with different people for this issue. If they don't want to provide her something, you may want to talk with the company yourself...it may help just incase they decide to get out of staying cheap cause their insured wasn't paying attention. I hope her car is fixable, mine wasn't and I wasn't spun 360!

I think the previous answer meant "rider clause" but all insurances don't necessarily provide it unless you have that option on your insurance or the other person's who hit her. You need to look at your policy or call your agent, or find out from the other person's agent. |

Yes, if the other party has insurance. If you need it now, rent a vehicle, get one that is similar to the one damaged. IE...don't rent a Mercedes if you drive a Ford. The other carrier should reimburse you. OR they could call you in a day or two and take care of the rental car upfront. Good Luck!! |

the other party would be liable for our damages assuming they where 100% at fault. if they had insurance their company should reimburse you for a rental vehicle. if they dont have insurance you would have had to have pruchased rental reimbursment coverage under your own policy. |

If the other company is fixing her car, they will also provide her with a rental. Someone from the other company should be in contact wiht her today.
If YOUR company is fixing the car, they will pay rental for however much rental coverage you bought on the policy - which means, if you didn't buy it, they won't pay it. |
