If your talking about car ins. then i would suggest state farm. i was 18 and going through some place called worgess and it was costing me $300 a month for the min in Michigan. I switched to State Farm and it went down to $150 and it goes down steady from there. Right now I'm 23 and have 2 cars on the road, one of which needs full coverage becuase i am still paying for it and i'm only paying $230 now. |

if your referring to car insurance, to be honest with you...when i was that age i went with whatever was the latest and greatest they were advertising on televsion as a start and drove VERY VERY CAREFULLY! It will save you lots and LOTS of $$$ if you do.
DO NOT go with State Farm, Allstate..etc.. any of the large ones will gouge you! TRUST ME on this one. I have a great driving record and they stick it to me!
You will be surprised at how many of these "silly tv" companies turn out to be "good" ones. |

other options: get married.... a really dumb idea just to reduce ins expense.
get a car that you won't have to carry comprehensive and collision on... ex 2006 BMW will cost quite a bit to repair.. higher premiums.
unfortunately the bulk of your expense is in your Liability.. that is you, my dear.. and you're 21.. no way around it.. you can carry your state's minimum coverage.. a really dumb thing.. if you kill somebody, or damage something of more value, or they sue you for wrongful death........yikes.. you're out of money
progressive is not gun shy with youthful drivers and you can get a quote online progressive.com
don't worry, it gets better... you get older like the rest us.

If you're in college, insurance through your school is dirt cheap. It just doesn't cover a lot. If you're talking about car insurance, then State Farm is probably your best bet. Geico is alright sometimes. |
