If you DON'T know it's stolen, you have to fully cooperate with the police, and turn the items back to their rightful owner. |

I am pretty sure you would get into trouble. If you know that it is stolen then you could have problems later. i wouldn't purchase whatever it is, but it is your risk and choice. Good Luck with everything. |

Actually, yes, you can get in trouble. Very, very big trouble, specially if you know the property is stolen. It's called "Dealing In Stolen Goods," and the penalties are just as stiff. And claiming ignorance about the source of the goods won't help you in court, because as the prosecutor will point out in your trial, the law states that you should have known they were stolen. This last part is the crime of "Willful Ignorance." It's a real crime, you can do research on it.
So either you get into trouble for "Dealing In Stolen Goods," or for "Willful Ignorance," or both! |
