My dad gets dental insurance through work but there is a problem, no dentist in our city take the insurance that he gets from work, there is only one dentist and they are full and won't take any new paitents!!
What would you suggest my dad does?? Should he call the insurance company and tell them that no dentist in our area take the insurance, will they be able to do anything about it?? Should he call that one dentist and tell them that they have to take our family as paitents, will that do anything?? What are some other options!!

Our family is me, my mom, my dad, and my sister!! I mean you are going to do travel out of state everytime you get sick?? |

You cannot force a dentist to accept new patients even if he does accept the insurance.
Call the insurance company and let them know the situation. They will try to find a dentist for you in your location. If you have a dental PPO they may allow you to go outside of the network and get coverage at in network rates. |

Your dad should definitely explain his situation to his dental insurance company. They will give him a list of options that he can choose from. Until, you know what the insurance company wants you to do, I would hesitate in demanding the dentist to take you and your dad in.

~~I would call the insurance company and tell them you have been paying your premiums according to the policy requirements and they are suppose to give your dental care within reasonable travel (out of state is not reasonable). Since there is no one you can go to- request them to make special arrangements with a dentist who is local to treat your family. It is done in health insurance, dental is responsible for your care also when they accept your premiums. Report them to your state's insurance commisioner if you do not get satisfaction!~~ |

He should call the insurance company, and ask THEM to locate a dentist that takes that insurance, within 10 miles of your home, that is accepting new patients. And if they can't, he should ask them to pay a dentist NOT in that network, and you guys pay the rest.
Dental insurance is kinda like that, though. |

Well, generally people don't see the dentist when they're sick. Get a different plan that has dentists in your area. Otherwise there's not a whole lot you can do... |
